**Registration is Open for The Woburn Little League Jimmy Fund Baseball Program 2021**
Payment is due at the time of registration - If payment is not made registration will be waitlisted after 5 days
The Jimmy Fund program enables Little League players to continue playing baseball during the summertime and provides these youngsters with an opportunity to grow as individuals by developing baseball skills and building self-confidence. Jimmy Fund Baseball is open to all Woburn LL players who wish to play. Simply register and pay on the Woburn LL website and then teams are formed based on registration numbers that exist for each age group. As always, our program would not be possible without volunteers needed to coach these players.
If you are interested in coaching, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
All teams will be required to conduct individual team fundraising -
Little League and The Jimmy Fund are two institutions dedicated to providing children with the opportunity to become healthy adults. In this joint effort, participating Little League teams and players raise funds for the Dana-Farber Institute while continuing to play ball. The program allows players to help other, less fortunate children.
The registration fee to participate is $100.00 With that registration, a $50 donation will be made in the team's name to the Jimmy Fund. In addition, all additional funds raised by the fundraising efforts of the teams and players go directly to the Jimmy Fund. Teams from Reading, North Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, Wilmington, and Woburn are expected to participate. The Jimmy Fund and Baseball have a long and great history here in Massachusetts of giving back. Please join us in an 8 to 10 game season running Mid-June through the beginning of August. All players receive a Jimmy Fund Hat and shirt, and teams qualify for the single-elimination playoffs, which are held right after the season. The team manager will assist and encourage the players with fundraising efforts. In prior years, our Little League District (MA District 13) has raised over $60,000 for the Dana-Farber Institute.
The season will run from Mid-June through the beginning of August. The teams will play 8-10 games over the course of four weeks. All teams qualify for the single-elimination playoffs, which are held right after the season.
